Guest Post ~ Three Ways to Seek the Wekfare of Our Cities

By Jim Denison

Peter called his fellow believers “sojourners and exiles” (1 Peter 2:11). The former describes someone who is a foreigner or stranger; the latter refers to temporary residents. Taken together, they remind us that this world is not our home and that we are only here for a short time.

How are we to live in this foreign…

Discipleship Rhythms

One of the most important free eBooks that Discipleship.org has published is Jason Dukes’ book, Inviting Along: 5 Shifts to Help You Move from Informational to Relational Disciple Making (Discipleship.org, 2018).  Click here to download the free eBook. Jason provides us with a good paradigm for understanding Jesus’ everyday relationships with the twelve men that he invited along, as his disciples.  We would suggest that Jesus modeled seven recurring, relational rhythms in His disciple-making…

  • Thank you for the warm welcome
  • Good Evening Phil,

I appreciate your kind sentiments to assist me as a new member of the Pray Network.

Keeping the faith as we journey along life's way.

  • Thank you. I look forward to participating.

  • Dear Phil,
Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I am very excited about being a member of the Pray.Network! Thank you for your awesome work! God's abundant blessings!
  • Thanks. I hope I can help

  • Thank you for the welcome Brother Phil. Very cool that you are a friend of Dick Eastman. The Pastor I referenced from the 80s is now in Colorado. He used to use Dick Eastman materials to teach on prayer. The Pastor himself is one of the true prayer warriors I have known in life. He has had Mr. Eastman teach at
    his current church.
Iron sharpens iron so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
  • Thanks for the Welcome! I posted a Thanks yesterday but accidentally deleted it I think! I will be popping in and out and getting to know my way around. I can Not add any photo so will give up on that. Prayer is the Praise of our every heartbeat and breath as God has Re-Breathed into us Newness of Life Everlasting thru salvation. His Spirit has made US ...HIS abode - absolutely incredible and such a mystery to live out of! HE, the Spirit, Flows out of me constantly, manifesting the Mind of Christ IN me. • Thanks so much Phil,

I've read the Verses and Scriptures and they have been great for me.

I written them down and allowing them to sink in and I'm repeating them and speaking them out aloud and I really do feel better and inspired.

  • Hello Dave,

I am blessed by your humility and realization that the Lord is the point of all we do here on Pray.Network ... but it is also a blessing to see the Spirit of the Lord work through faithful, yielded leaders. In other words, it is not merely the content of the comments you make or ideas you share but the life-well-lived in obedience that also teaches and trains us. Like our sister site Discipleship.Network, we can disciple one another even through social media!

I welcome feedback from you and others who read this,

    Phil

    Pray.Network coordinator
