Peter called his fellow believers “sojourners and exiles” (1 Peter 2:11). The former describes someone who is a foreigner or stranger; the latter refers to temporary residents. Taken together, they remind us that this world is not our home and that we are only here for a short time.

How are we to live in this foreign…

Church Prayer Leaders Network

Greetings Phil, Over the course of the last 7 months, the weekly prayer meeting I lead at our church has grown from 6-10 people to 20-25 each week, about 20% of our regular Sunday morning attendance. There are a number of reasons for that growth, but I think one in particular stands out. Below I share what that is in my article "Best Way to Change Prayer Meetings for the Better."I also share information on an ebook…

Discipleship Rhythms

GUEST POST ~ Repercussions of Removing Compassion from Evangelism

GUEST POST ~ Repercussions of Removing Compassion from Evangelism Repercussions of Removing Compassion from Evangelism Only 52% of born-again Christians report witnessing to someone at least once in the past year.  How many of those were simply a personal testimony or directions to a church?  And 47% of Millennials now feel it’s wrong to share one’s religious beliefs with someone of a different faith.  A Lifeway study found of eight…

Creation Theology: Back to the Future

To #reimagineSCRIPTURE... we must realize our pretext shapes our interpretation of the text and context. Pretext = our worldview, which is a perspective on life based on our personality, our conclusions about sociology, the impact of our geography, experiences from our history, and customs and traditions of our family. As hard as we may try, our interpretations and applications of Scripture cannot avoid influence or infection from these factors. We need to heed other voices that are faithful to…

  • Thank you for the warm welcome
  • Good Evening Phil,

I appreciate your kind sentiments to assist me as a new member of the Pray Network.

Keeping the faith as we journey along life's way.

  • Thank you. I look forward to participating.

  • Dear Phil,
Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I am very excited about being a member of the Pray.Network! Thank you for your awesome work! God's abundant blessings!
  • Thanks. I hope I can help

  • Thank you for the welcome Brother Phil. Very cool that you are a friend of Dick Eastman. The Pastor I referenced from the 80s is now in Colorado. He used to use Dick Eastman materials to teach on prayer. The Pastor himself is one of the true prayer warriors I have known in life. He has had Mr. Eastman teach at
    his current church.

I can Not add any photo so will give up on that. Prayer is the Praise of our every heartbeat and breath as God has Re-Breathed into us Newness of Life Everlasting thru salvation. HE remains present in our lives… busy about restoring hope & extending encouragement to HIS people.

  • Thanks so much Phil,

I've read the Verses and Scriptures and they have been great for me.

I written them down and allowing them to sink in and I'm repeating them and speaking them out aloud and I really do feel better and inspired.

  • Hello Dave,

I am blessed by your humility and realization that the Lord is the point of all we do here on Pray.Network ... but it is also a blessing to see the Spirit of the Lord work through faithful, yielded leaders. In other words, it is not merely the content of the comments you make or ideas you share but the life-well-lived in obedience that also teaches and trains us. Like our sister site Discipleship.Network, we can disciple one another even through social media!

I welcome feedback from you and others who read this,

    Phil

  • Is it helpful to give the name of the person who started a group? I am uncomfortable with my name listed every time someone posts on Shaking The World Through The Printed Word. I am not the point of the site.
