During this COVID-19 season, God’s church is His divine instrument empowered to eradicate division in our nation.  It is my prayer that God will send revival through the heart of His bride, the church.  That is why…

#ReimaginePRAYER: Grow. Together.

Received this emessage from an international prayer champion:

"Thanking God for you and your leadership in prayer. I think it was at a prayer conference when you were leading a time of prayer and offhandedly mentioned how you prefer praying with others rather than alone. (I don't remember the exact wording!) God used that comment to expand my understanding of what it means to grow in…

I (Eddie) don’t like failure. Who does? Perhaps like me, you have had your share of failed attempts. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if God would give us a task, clearly laying out the steps to accomplish it, provide everything we need to complete it, and guarantee our success, where we could not fail!?…

Pro-Life-For-Life

#ItSeensToMe...if we evangelicals were pro-life-for-life, we would look for ways to empower/equip those who choose abortion for primarily economic reasons.
What could happen to the abortion stats if the Church became an advocate rather that an adversary to those trapped in systemic poverty?
#ProLife has to be more than a preaching point or a taking a political stand.

Consider the commentary of friend/colleague John H. Armstrong:

Abortion rates in America continue to…

Sight Seeing, Fact Finding and Prayer Walking: A Simple Plan to Change the World

Sight Seeing, Fact Finding and Prayer Walking: A Simple Plan to Change the World written by Jerry Wiles September 28, 2021   Houston, TX (ANS) – In 1966, while in the United States Air Force stationed in Misawa, Japan, I had the opportunity of climbing the famous Mt. Fuji.  It was a wonderful and memorable sightseeing experience.  In later years, while serving with an international publishing and broadcasting ministry, I was invited to be part of some fact-finding delegations in a few foreign…

Are We UNreceptive to this Cultural Blindspot?

Don't be UNreceptive. #ReimaginePRAYER...from a biblical perspective.   From our good friends @ Prayer Connect   Greetings Phil,   We have to live in a bubble if you are not aware of the deep divisions we have in the Church and in our nation today.   A year ago, when we were working on compiling and editing our book Make Us One: A 31-Day Prayer Journey toward Racial Healing, an individual close to the project said she feared it would not be well received by white churches because they…

"12 Characteristics of Evangelistic Pastors" ~ Start with #6!

12 Characteristics of Evangelistic Pastors By Chuck Lawless on Aug 10, 2021 In almost 25 years of studying churches in North America, never have I yet found an evangelistic church that was not led by a strongly evangelistic pastor. Here are some general characteristics I’ve seen in these pastors: They make themselves do evangelism. Some are naturally gifted evangelists, but many are not. They just know they need to do evangelism, and they need to lead the way – so they intentionally choose to…

"Prayer Helps Me See Better"

"Ploy" was happy to have me pray for her, but when I lifted my head at the end, I felt slightly apologetic for praying so long. “Wow, you have a lot of things to pray about,” I said.  “It's nice to have someone pray for a long time. It's been a long time since someone has,” she replied.  Just like that, I saw her anew. In both my prayer and in her response, I saw her. I saw what she holds; her fragile mother, her little boy, her daughter who lives with her paternal grandma, her husband’s…

  • Thanks. I hope I can help

  • Thank you for the welcome Brother Phil. Very cool that you are a friend of Dick Eastman. The Pastor I referenced from the 80s is now in Colorado. He used to use Dick Eastman materials to teach on prayer. The Pastor himself is one of the true prayer warriors I have known in life. He has had Mr. Eastman teach at
    his current church.
Iron sharpens iron so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

  • Thanks so much Phil,

I've read the Verses and Scriptures and they have been great for me.

I written them down and allowing them to sink in and I'm repeating them and speaking them out aloud and I really do feel better and inspired.

  • Hello Dave,

I am blessed by your humility and realization that the Lord is the point of all we do here on Pray.Network ... but it is also a blessing to see the Spirit of the Lord work through faithful, yielded leaders. In other words, it is not merely the content of the comments you make or ideas you share but the life-well-lived in obedience that also teaches and trains us. Like our sister site Discipleship.Network, we can disciple one another even through social media!

I welcome feedback from you and others who read this,

    Phil

    Pray.Network coordinator

  • Is it helpful to give the name of the person who started a group? I am uncomfortable with my name listed every time someone posts on Shaking The World Through The Printed Word. I am not the point of the site.
