  • Lord Jesus,

    You want honest prayer.

    Well, here goes ...

You want us to always pray and not give up. You'll have to help us to persevere. Without You, we can do nothing.

Father, may Your Name be kept holy. May Your Kingdom come soon. And yes, oh yes, Lord Jesus, the Bride and the Spirit pray, Come, come  soon.

We pray for those who annoy us, irritate us, hate us, harm us. But You'll have to help us pray with the right attitude, or the prayer will only be lip service. You don't like that and You can't accept those prayers. May Your Spirit help us.

Father, we are afraid for our children's lives and souls... the news scare me. Wars, famines, disasters, human trafficking... Please protect our children as only You can.

Thank You for our prayer companions. Please bless them. You know all of them are in various kinds of pain. Ease them and heal them, Lord. Protect them and their loved ones, as only You can. We pray for unity in You, always.

Thank You that we can pray when we are alone - thought prayers, breath prayers, sighs and sometimes just looking up to You wordlessly. You always understand.

Thank You that You are with each one of us when we feel alone and that You pray with us and intercede for us, as do Your Spirit. You keep us going.

Help us to have faith. You know that our faith sometimes hangs by a thread. Thank You that You forgive and strengthen and put us back on the Rock that never wavers.

Bring all to faith by You power and wisdom. Forgive us when we think it is hopeless, because You are the God of Hope, Almighty God for whom nothing is impossible.

We are not worthy or able to pray with You. But Your Spirit can make us willing and able. Come, Holy Spirit, please.

Blessed be the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the glory of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, amen.
