In the Christian year, we're about to enter the season of Advent - and be reminded that we are still waiting for God to fulfill the all that has been promised in Jesus for us and for the world. That space of waiting reminds us that our posture should be aligned with that of Mary when she received the annunciation from the angel Gabriel: "may it be in me according to your will"…

The “big thing” a society must get right David Brooks responds to our question in The Atlantic: “My basic take is that life in America today is objectively better than it was before but subjectively worse. We have much higher standards of living and many conveniences, but when it comes to how we relate to one another—whether in the realm of politics, across social divides, or in the intimacies of family and…

A handful of people have made decisions to follow Jesus and many, many others have received prayer and help for various needs. I’m also excited to reveal some of the annual data from last year. For years we’ve tracked decisions for Christ and reconnected with these new believers for discipleship,…

Not only did most attend church, most who did attended most weeks. We got credit if we attended a church when we were on vacation. We wore Sunday clothes, which meant most months coat and tie. In the heat of the summer I wore a short sleeve shirt and a tie without a coat. It was as Christian as it was American to attend church this way. Builders and Boomers lived…

I successfully ignored his words, though, throughout seventh grade – and I assumed that I had “won” the battle when summer came at the end of the school year. If I did not see him each day, I would not be forced to think about the gospel.…

Later theological readings of the text are fine, if they comport with or are a reasonable exposition or amplification of the theology in the Scriptural text itself. The fact that the original texts of the NT are…

Thanks for welcoming me to the Forum. I had thought I was already a member through the Prayer Leaders Network, but the sign in process wouldn’t allow me to sign in using my passwords from that site, so I created another account.
I had wanted to commend the article that I received from y’all by email about dealing with 4 realities that make it difficult for Intercessors/prayer ministry leaders and pastors/church leadership to build a praying culture in the church. I thought it was very insightful and a helpful perspective. Thank you for the article.
Hi Phil.
As a new member, I received 2 emails from you.
The first, informing me that my membership had been approved, contained 4 links all containing significant errors. None of the links worked, but I was able to deduce what the errors were so correct them for access. Not a good start! You should examine the links in the email that was sent two me to ensure this doesn't happen to other new members.
Links in the second email regarding my profile appear to be OK.
Steve
Thank you!
Thanks, Bro!!!
