Fukushima

Partnering with a small church in Fukushima city, two of my friends are seeking to open doors for ministry. They haven't yet joined this group, but they do have a blog: http://byfaithinfukushima.blogspot.comThere are churches in Fukushima, but they don't usually want to work together. My friends are there in a really small church where at least the pastor is excited to work with other churches, and there is at least one other church with the same mindset. Prayers for unity among the Christians…

Niitsu church

For a long time, a very small church in Niigata, called Niitsu Lutheran church, has been on my heart. There are only six members. They don't have their own pastor. They have faith, and they faithfully meet every Sunday afternoon, but they don't seem to be growing, and they know it. Please pray that they would grow in maturity of faith, trusting in God to provide and bless their obedience, and be seeking out God's will for their growth, that they would know clearly how God wants them to be…

Prayer requests list

As this group grows, we will see a lot of prayer requests that may need a long time persevering in prayer. To organize ourselves, I'm starting this general "discussion" as a place to post basic prayer requests for Japan. Then, we can periodically return and use the list as a prayer resource. For broader, ongoing prayer requests, I will also start separate discussions so that we can log updates and praise reports.May God's glory be seen in Japan!

  • Hi Bethanie, I'm doing okay. I'm having an endoscopy tomorrow (Tuesday) so I'm a little nervous about that. My car is the same, I'm going to take it back to the shop when I get back from a trip to VA. My dad and I are going to my mom's gravesite in ValleyForge PA because of mother's day and her would be 70th b'day on the 13th of May and to buy a plaque. So, I'm hanging in there the best I can and then I'm moving when I get back from VA to another side of town. How are you? Is there anything I can pray for you about? I thank you for praying for me.

    Take care,
    Cecily
  • Sure I will join the group. I will try to do it. Excited to find this!!!
  • Hallo Bethanie.
I come from Norway and I am a prayer leader in our church. I would like to join your group for Japan. I have Japan as one of my prayer issues on my praying list and would like to expand my knowledge of Japan and its needs.
    Blessings from T.Leigre. Norway
  • Bethanie,

Thank you for joining the Intercessors Group. It is a group where we encourage sharing. As we share, that sharing will encourage others, and we are also encouraged.

We look forward to your contribution.

    Blessings,

    Lewis Turner

  • I was so happy to find you! Pray is the thing I am longing for most here. I was just in tears all through worship on Sunday and no one knew what to do or even asked if anything was wrong. I asked the pastor about opportunities for prayer within the church and he said he'd get back to me... so I'm waiting on that- but am so excited to know about this resource. I love prayer! I miss community prayer so so so much! Glad to hear you're well. Keep me posted on things. Love ya!
