Prayer requests list

As this group grows, we will see a lot of prayer requests that may need a long time persevering in prayer. To organize ourselves, I'm starting this general "discussion" as a place to post basic prayer requests for Japan. Then, we can periodically return and use the list as a prayer resource.

For broader, ongoing prayer requests, I will also start separate discussions so that we can log updates and praise reports.

May God's glory be seen in Japan!

    Fukushima is a small church, but the members have strong faith, and their vision is to build an English school that will bring people to the church who would not otherwise have a connection, so that they may have the opportunity to learn of God's love, hear God's word, and hopefully be touched by the Holy Spirit and brought to saving faith. For Fukushima, we can pray generally for the pastor and his wife, for the missionary/English teachers, for the members and their involvement with the school, and for God to bring into the church people who are hungry for God. The church plans to support the missionaries, but because Japanese people want to pay for English lessons, an abundance of regular English students also means the mission could be self-supporting. However, the English bible study is free. Also, we can pray for the relationship between churches, as there are a few other Christian churches in town, some which are willing to partner with this church.

      Very glad for the orientation about the needs in Fukushima.
      It is so much easier to pray for specific issues concerning mission abroad.

    I have Fukushima on my prayer list. Are there any specific issues to pray about concerning the work there ?

    God, We know that you are bigger than anything or anyone in this world. When Satan attacks your people here in Japan, please give them reminders of your strength, and your might! May they not look to the attack of the Evil one but to how you are helping them to overcome. God only through constant reminders in the storms do we remember to look at you! Please remind, and show us how you work through the attacks of Satan. May Your Servants stand firm, and be a light to the nations, and especially to those in Japan.

    Lord Jesus, please strengthen the faith of all Christians in Japan, and grant them the mind of Christ, that they may serve and glorify you.

    Lord God, may the pastors and Christian leaders of Japan flee from immorality and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Help them, Jesus, to fight the good fight of the faith. Bless them, Holy Spirit, to guard what has been entrusted to their care. Father God, uphold them in righteousness and grant them your Grace. (1 Timothy 5:11,12,20)
