Read more…Jesus was the greatest disciple maker who has ever lived. How did He begin? Though Jesus had many who followed, He chose only twelve ordinary men with a mixture of backgrounds and personalities to be His disciples. Jesus’ entire ministry depended upon these men who would go on to start the Christian Church. He began His discipleship ministry in prayer: “One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to…

Some 4,000 leaders from 198 countries attended as participants and observers. What follows is the conclusion. I would recommend the entire document and especially the section on leadership. Please feel free to comment. Conclusion God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. God’s…

The die has been cast. I’ve stepped over the line. I am out of the comfort zone. The decision has been made. I’m a disciple of Jesus. I won’t look back, let up, slow down, or back away. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I am finished and done with low living, sight walking,…

Spiritual champions live in ways that are noticeably different from the norm—even when compared to the average churchgoer." Is living a transformed life more than…

Read more…The crisis at the heart of the church is that we talk about making disciples, but we seldom do it. Making disciples is not just for pastors, ministers, or super Christians. Making disciples is the responsibility, privilege and great joy intended for every Christ-follower within the body of Christ. The only hope for taking Jesus' message to all people is in believers' multiplying their labors by training disciples to continue and expand the work. If we are going to see believers around the…

Additionally, while the "clergy/laity" distinction appears to be embedded and assumed as Biblical, is this class distinction found in the New Testament? Is sectarianism sinful and carnal? (see Mth. 20:25-28; Gal. 3:26-29; 1 Pet. 2:9; 1 Corinthians 1:10-17; 3:1-23; 12:1-30)

"They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you,…

Thanks Doug! I live in a rural area, and in the spring/summer/fall travel a lot - so it's hard to find a Christian community. I'm hoping this will be one I can find like hearts and minds. Thank you for the welcome!
