On Gospelcoalition.org there is an article entitled "A letter to Harold Camping and those who expected Judgement Day" by Timothy Dalrymple. It is a well balanced letter and worthy reading whether affected by the prediction or not.
When we say so and so is a mature Christian- what does it mean? If a person can quote scriptures, does it make him/her a mature christian? If person is gifted in some area of Ministry-does it make him/ her a mature christian? If a person is an Elder, Deacon does it mean one is a mature christian?

In the Cell meeting I am attending, we studying Mathew 5, 6 and 7. Because of the richness and depth of the passages, we end up doing only one verse per session (one and half hours). The encouragement is that we look at a passage and see what the different Bible versions say and of course application to us in the "now". Where the ESV says "Blessed" the Living Bible says "Happy".
