Several years ago I began signing things I wrote with "Blessings" as I wanted to impart a blessing on those I was writing. I had never thought to actually invoke a blessing on those I was praying for. I will definitely make this a daily part of my prayer time. Thank you so much for starting the Encouragement to Pray and for the Prayer Minute on blessings.

I agree...blessings are a VERY IMPORTANT part of my intercessory prayers! I LOVE to bless in my prayers! There are some people in my life that I bless everyday in my prayers! Sometimes I use Bible verses, and sometimes the Holy Spirit lays a specific blessing on my heart for a specific person facing a specific situation! Blessing these people is very special to me...and in blessing them, the Lord has blessed me with an even deeper relationship with Him! It's a "WIN-WIN" situation!
