I have given prayer to the assignment of interceding for you and your marriage. My wife and I went through troubled times, but thanks be to God, He provided people across our path who encouraged us and helped us refocus on God’s word and God’s way of doing things. In our struggles we had a rebel child, who today loves the Lord. God showed us how to clear the issues.
There is hope—and your asking for prayer is a good start. I would encourage you to review my blog at www.Wheatlandministries.blogspot.com. Many of the entries in it come out of my journey—perhaps you can gleam something from them. Also, if you have not done so—seek out Godly council about your marriage—even if your wife does not agree to join you at this time. If she does, listen carefully, and as you do, ask the Lord to help you see her from God’s eyes.
You may have heard other similar council—but I sensed the need to share these items. Yes - I will intercede for you and your marriage. From time to time, don’t be afraid to share key points that you are learning. It will help me as I pray for you.
When we get into difficult situations, they probably have roots going back a long time, and it may take a while to set things right. Don’t give up—Obey the Word of God. God does perform His word for us. Jer 1:12 says “Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.” (KJV) Also-see I John 5:14 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:” (KJV)
I will ask that the Lord Jesus guide you into His Word and that He send the help you need in your marriage. I will also ask the Lord to work in your heart, as well as your wife’s heart, to seek Jesus and His healing of whatever issues that exist. This is how I will be praying to the Lord in Jesus’ Holy Name.
Your Interceding Friend,
