The love of God is incredible. It is so difficult for us to fathom and describe.He loves and cares for us beyond our comprehension. And that is His assignment for us to actively love all the people around us with His kind of love. In a real sense, He is asking us to allow His love to flow through us to care for those persons who we meet and know and ultimately share Jesus with them so they too will understand and have eternal salvation!
During last week's conference call to pray for evangelism in America, I saw a picture of someone coming home from a long day's work, and as they entered the back door, they suddenly could smell supper cooking in the kitchen. Oh how the aroma of that engulfed them and created a hunger they had not had until entering and smelling the food. I have never considered it, but felt the Lord showing me there is a "smell of salvation". An aroma of our loving Father that creates a "hunger" to be with Him, a desire to receive His love and affection, to fill ourselves with the substance of what our "spiritual noses" have sensed and communicated to our spirit, soul and body.
Our prayer was for that aroma to drift across the land and invade the senses of those who have not
"tasted and seen that He is good !" May the love we know and feel provoke the unsaved to jealousy and create a hunger that only the Father can feed with His presence.
