In light of the recent tragedy in Tuscon, it is a reminder that weshould be praying for our Government and Government Officials, and members ofCongress and our President. 1 Tim 2:2-3. I have had a brief discussion with a cousin of mine involved in the Democratic Party Nationwide and who lives in Arizona. He is very close to the situation. Even though our country has become somewhatpolarized, there is still communication going on between the parties. Perhaps we should consider in praying for our government that we may learn tolisten to each other and to ask the Lord to show us the real heart ofissues. The Lord knows how to heal our land. II Chronicles 7 vs 14.
Also please keep by brother in prayer--he has hosted a fund raiser in the pastfor Congress Woman Gifford. Needless to say he is also very disturbed atwhat happend. Both my cousin and my brother need to know the presence ofour Lord Jesus, that Jesus understands how we feel and is there to help us if we only ask Him and commit our lives to Him.

Update on the TUSCON Situation::
I have had communication with my cousin who is involved in the Democratic Party Nationwide. He is working to keep communication open between Democrats and Republicans. May it lead to where we can listen to each other and with God's help see the real heart of issues on both sides. We as a nation need God's wisdom. -- I have seen where prayer for wisdom for town leaders has helped in making very difficult decisions - Praying for those in congress and politics can do the same. listening is something like an art that seems to have been lost in politics and when it is lost we fail to really seek God's council and wisdom.
