Praying God's Promises for our Children

Many parents wonder if their children are going to turn our OK.  Often we do not realize that prayer can help.  Take a minute and listen to the attached video 'Prayer Minute'.  After you have don that consider the reflection below.

God’s promises are written for us.  I know in the past that I had difficulty using them in prayer or quoting scripture in prayer.  This came from teaching that I had received.  That was my past issue.  You may have other issues which I would encourage you to write down.  Once you have done that, go to God’s Word and see what it says.  Ask the Lord to help you in that quest.  It may take sometime to do that, but it will enrichen your time of praying for others, and for your children.

I leave the above reflection thoughts with this:  If we trust God to be faithful to His Word and Promises, why not use them in our prayers, especially if they reflect our heart prayer?

I John 5: 14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
