Praise God that through all you are going through that you set your heart, through God's help to be able to praise the Lord. From what you describe, it can be difficult to praise God, especially when everything hurts. I know your sharing will encourage many others. Thank you!
I've often found myself having a hard time giving praise in the midst of my circumstances, living with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic back pain and now Degenerative Joint Disease in my knees. I try to remember though that God is the giver of all good things and that he has allowed this in my life for one reason or another and ultimately he will get the glory. I try to pray to God when I have trouble praising him and let him know what's going on with me so he can help me get out of the mood I'm in and help give him praise again.
