Perhaps we need to stop from our pushing ahead for 'Our' organization, and consider if we are encouraging others to follow God's calling for their lives.  Take time to listen to the attached video for this discussion, then consider the following reflection questions:

Leaders--I believe that includes most of us--even if you do not lead a group--but are active in one--here is a question:

Do you encourage others to follow their calling from the Lord, or have you had doubts about their calling?

If you have had doubts about a person's calling, could you open up as to why?

If you have doubts, what is the basis of your doubts?

If you have encouraged others, what results have you seen?

Now let's ask:

Have you found a way to pray together, not just once, but regularly?

Have you ever asked the Lord to help you encourage others?

Could you take a moment and share how that the help the Lord gave made a difference?

Was prayer together helpful in giving encouragement?

Did praying together help you connect with the other person?

  • Lewis,

I agree - it is important to help others in the Body of Christ to discover the will and way of God, their specific calling, so that they best serve the Kingdom. The stewardship of a leader is in knowing you have pointed each disciple into the direction/instruction they have received from the ord, regardless of how it impacts your ministry.

Each person belongs to God; asteward is blessed when he/she takes the Jesus path,

    Phil
