What started as a conversation with a homeless man in Carlinville has turned into a heartfelt burdening to move. I am trying to hunt down contacts of people in the area churches and businesses that might actively be involved in any homeless resource services or programs (if one exists). I would like to compile information and contacts and I am not sure where to begin. Since the conversation with this man and in talking to people in the community, I have discovered the incredible amount of people in Carlinville that are homeless. Would like to request prayer for the people in this area who genuinely need a program like this to be discovered and for direction in how I might be able to help bridge the gap.
Praying without ceasing requires a conscious awareness of an on-going two-way conversation with God. It does not require closed eyes or folded hands or quiet. It is just like any other conversation, like with your friend or spouse as you drive down the road.
ALSO join the "Spiritual Awakening in Macoupin County" group if you would like. Hopefully, even non-CrossChurch'ers will join us in praying for a spiritual awakening in Macoupin County
We have many praying people (as opposed to just "people who pray" if that makes sense). However, we do not have a centralized location for praying people (and people who pray) to gather and communicate. I am hoping and believing that prayernetwork.org is that vehicle.
I consider the organizer/administrator a good, long-term friend. In our way over busy digital/social media age, I believe we have to find new avenues to hear one another's hearts as we pray "together" via a social media platform.
Please engage this journey. It might fail, but IF it fails, lets be sure it was not due to our lack of effort and engagement. I will post my thoughts and prayers here regularly. You should too.
Picture it like we are having an on-going prayer meeting. We believe in the power of prayer, so lets pray.
My thoughts/prayers will likely be more vision/spiritual warfare/empowerment driven, because that is how I roll hahahahaa You can pray about or share your thoughts about what ever you want also.

Hey CrossChurch'ers!
