A thought on the praying for our elected officials after the elections. -- We have an opportunity ahead of us—we can change laws and directions—but it is the Lord who turns hearts. See Proverbs 21:1. It is important not to look at the Republicans, or Democrats, or Libertarians as our saviour. We need to be willing to listen to each other and seek ways to work together.
Most importantly God’s word says to humble ourselves, and turn from our wicked way, and seek His face. See II Chronicles 7:14. That verse challenges my prayers.
