Book Review:
Ready to Pray, A Spiritual Journey of Prayer and Worship
Author: Gail E. Dudley
Publisher: Gail E. Dudley
Highly Recommended International, Inc
When I read ‘Ready to Pray, I found Gail Dudley’s personal focus on prayer and its relation to life issues and the Word of God, very encouraging. Prayer is not just requests, but the heart reaching out to God and learning to listen to Him.
This focus was developed by the author sharing her actual experience of coming into a close relationship with the Lord Jesus, and how prayer was important in that relationship. Her goal is to help others through their discovery of prayer grow in their relationship with Jesus.
‘Ready to Pray’ deals with difficult areas and let’s God’s Word guide us. Some of these areas are:
• What is prayer,
• the issues of prayerlessness,
• dealing with issues when you don’t know what to do,
• and learning to hear what God is speaking through His Word.
Through out the book Gail Dudley shows us that God Speaks through His Word, and the Word of God provides a solid foundation for prayer.
The book is written in easy to understand style and a Work Book is available—which is well suited for group study.
