Today’s Prayer

Zayin

 49 Lord, remember Your promises to me, Your servant;
      Your word is my only hope, my sure hope.
 50 Your promises revive me, they  are my comfort in affliction;
      and in all my troubles.
 51 Lord, when I am arrogant, and proud, I hold Your words
in utter contempt,
      cause me to not turn away from Your instructions.
 52 I meditate on Your age-old regulations;
      O Lord, they comfort me.
 53 I become furious when I am wicked,
      because I have rejected Your instructions.
 54 Your decrees have been the theme of my songs
      wherever I have lived.
 55 I reflect at night on who You are, O Lord;
      therefore, I obey Your instructions, I keep Your law.
 56 This is how I spend my life:
      obeying Your commandments.
