Websites Down and Spiritual Warfare Needed Many of you may have noticed, but four of the websites our ministries maintains have all been taken down ultimately by cyber attack. For the past 33 hours these sites have been unavailable. harvestprayer.com prayerleader.com prayerconnect.net 40daysofprayer.net We need our supporters to join us in praying for our web company (North of Wonderful) and our contact there, Darren Starr, who is working feverishly to restore them. This company is the middle man in what happened. A major American company who provides servers for websites experienced a major attack a month ago. A hacker took many of its sites down for close to 24 hours. The hacker was able to do permanent damage to the hard drive of the server our sites were on. The company was able to get sites back up at that time, but knew it had to get the data onto new hard drives soon. Wednesday night it attempted to transfer the sites to a new drive, and everything came crashing down. Now 32 hours later it still is not fixed. Our web company is a small fish in their large pond, so we are not at the top of their list of things to fix right away. Currently Darren is both working with them to fix things there, but is also working to get up sites (and the other dozens of sites North of Wonderful manages) up on another server. But there is something interesting going on that Darren (a believer) alerted me to -- the secular sites they manage all came back up, but none of the Christian sites. Sounds like warfare to us!! Would you take a moment and pray: For protection . . . and peace . . . for Darren and North of Wonderful. For wisdom and insight to get things fixed so the sites can be live again. Pray whatever the Holy Spirit prompts you to pray. We recommend praying out of Psalm 46 For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. According to alamoth. A song. 1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. 5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. 6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. 7 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. |
