I have always used Quickverse for my study, but I am looking into Logos bible software. Any thoughts on what might be the best way to go. The leader's level is about half the price of the scholar's level, but with a few less items in it. I know its nice to have has much as you can, but you can have so many books in a program that you really never get to use them. It looks like a great program, but its a lot of money and I want to make sure there are some real benefits over something like Quickverse platinum which I have now. Also I am planning to use something like Logos on a iPad2, something that Quickverse is not set up for and currently have no plans for.
Thanks Jon every little bit over information is helpful. My plan is to use the iPad as the main tool for keeping up with most of my information (notes, sermons, dates, etc.). Logos looks to be a little better at setting up handout or lesson sheets, and that's something that would be a benefit over my current set-up.
I don't have a comparison to quick verse. The big reason that I bought Logos for my Mac was that I could access my library via the iPad and iPhone. I honestly find myself using logos more on the iPad than anything. Usually out of sheer convienance, as I almost always have the iPad on me. I am still learning the ins and outs of Logos and how to really utilize all the available tools. The main reason I bought it was personal study and also to use as I do my Bachelors of Biblical Studies. I can say it is the one piece of technology that I truly value. I don't know that I would of bought Logos if I was not going to Bible school. Honestly I use OliveTree's bible reader software and Evernote more than anything. I still love the feel and familiarity of my Bible, but I really have enjoyed the bible tools available on my iPad, and now with the DoDo case it's almost like a book. Anyway, I digress. Logos to me has been worth every penny. I bought one step up from the lowest package, whatever that is. I figured there was more than enough to get me started, and I would just add to my library over time. So far I have not even come close to using every tool available. You can't go wrong, but as I said in the beginning I dont have any other software to compare to. Would be happy to answer any questions you might have from an average "Joe" using technology, hopefully using technology for God's glory.
Richard, I'll be looking forward to seeing what sort of input you get to your question. One of the hardest things I find to do is chose a good study tool without having really had an opportunity to "test drive" it. I tried several iPhone apps before settling on OliveTree, and I use TruthPacker for memory work, again after trying several others.

Please let us know how it works out.
