Journaling

I have just begun journaling.  I read an article on journaling as you read scripture.  I am trying this.  If you have any other suggestions on how to journal, please let me know.

I read the first chapter of First Timothy (NLT).  I observed "accountabilty:"  to have a pure heart, clear conscience and sincere fath and live as God intended us to.  My favorite verse out of the chapter was:  "How thankful I am to Christ Jesus our Lord for considering me trustworthy and appointing me to serve him."  My prayer is that God finds me trustworthy.

Have a great day. Marcella Snyder

  • Thanks for the great tips.  I will read the resouce book you mentioned.
  • A journal doesn't' always have to be written words. Visual journalling incorporates images, either drawn, pasted, collaged, etc. with or without written text. There are some great resources out there, one of the best is A Trail Through Leaves by Hanna Hinchman. The beauty of a journal is that it's completely personal and therefore you're free to do whatever you find suits your purpose in keeping a journal. Hope this helps. The joy of a journal is looking back and seeing how far your journey has carried you.
