Keys to a good ministry

Prayer  should always come first. All ministry is a divine appointment and should therfore be surrendered to the Lord. This begins with prayer. We also need to pray that He would put us in the path of those lives who need to be reached out to.The second most important factor in any ministry is listening to others. The Lord said "be quick to listen, slow to speak" (James1:19).    this means everything to the brokenhearted.

  • I love those who love the Lord. Thanks for the invitation.

  • Very true. An earthly work for eternal results.
  • Thanks for the friend request. I'm learning to pray according to Gods will and plan. His words. God bless!

  • Linda, thank you for asking me to be a friend. I'm not certain how we're to communicate with each other on Pray Network. I notice your ministry with the mentally ill andthe homeless. The Lord helps me function every day as I have schizophrenia thatis controlled by meds. I volunteer at our local homeless shelter every Monday afternoon. Yours in Christ--Carole Sprague
  • Linda thank you for the invite to be friends I do look forward to the open line of communication between us. Sorry that I took so long to respond.
  • Thanks for friending me, Linda!
  • Hi, I'm very happy to have you as a friend. Although English is not my mother's language, I'll try hard to communicate well with you.
  • Great to have you as a friend. I know you are a great pray-er. God will began to reveal His heart to you in the coming days. Pray the heart of God and see great things be revealed before your eyes. You operate in word of knowledge, I want to encourage you to use that gift in intercession. I continue to pray for you and with you. Grace & Peace
  • Hi Linda - thanks for the 'friending' :-) My former pastor just sent me the invite to this forum today which was yet another 'God breeze' since I've been really pursuing the practice of intercessory prayer of late. I just finished reading a book by Melanie Hemry - 'A Healing Touch: the Power of Prayer' that I recommend. I learned a lot from it.
