KINGDOM OF GOD AND LITTLE CHILDREN

ImageMark 10 :13-15.  From this verses, Jesus told us that if we want to receive Kingdom of God then we have to receive like little children. Why do we have like little children ?

EASY TO TRUST

If we see the little children, how they will easily to trust whatever we say. No questions, no doubting , etc. To receive a Kingdom of God must like the little children that easy to trust the Kingdom of God.

WHITE BLANK PAPER

The little Children is like a white blank paper who is ready to be written. They still pure and have no impurity from the world. So we have to be like a white blank paper in order Words of God will deliver freely to us. Most of the case the world is more attractive than Word of God. Therefore we need to keep our heart and mind holly. So we can easily to receive every Words of God.

NO HIDDEN AGENDA

Hidden agenda means : IF. We want to believe God IF we will get rich. We want to serve God IF we will have good career, etc. That’s mean we will trust God with conditions. God want us to trust HIM without condition.  He know the best for us. He never promise that our life will be easy. But He promise He will be with us in every situation happened in our life. He never leave us if we still obey to Him.

So, Jesus is right. To receive Kingdom of God then we must like a little Children.

THE VINE AND THE BRANCHES

The Vine and the Branches

15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.

Branches can not live without vine. So we also as Jesus desciples can not live without Jesus. Jesus command us to be fruitfull. But if we live outside Jesus than we can not be fruitfull.

It looks like simple to be fruitful than live in Jesus. And His Words dwell in us. It is so simple, isn’t it ? But it will be very difficult to practise it. Cause we still live in this sinful world. Our sins still have power in our life. So Jesus gave command that we can not do ?

Jesus clearly said that outsite Him, we do nothing. So just follow His command. We just live in Him ! How it looks like ? It talks about our relationship with Jesus. Do we have spent enough time with Him trough daiky devotion, reading Bible , pray, etc ?

So so simple, let’s we live in Jesus and His Words dwell in us.

FAITH AND GRATEFUL HEART

LUK 17:11-19

Jesus Heals Ten Men With Leprosy

11 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. 12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy[b] met him. They stood at a distance 13 and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”

14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.

15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.

17 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”

Faith should follow with take action and and a grateful heart. We learn from above verses how those lepers got healed and what did they do next after they realised that they have cured.  These 10 leper asking for healing from leprosy.

Have a pity on us. These words are these lepers said to Jesus. Have a pity on us or have a mercy on us are the words that we as a believer  have rarely use in our pray to Jesus. We should aware that eventhough we have many years follow Jesus. This not make us  free from sins. We just like a dust in front of His eyes. Only trough His mercies we consider  deserve in front of Him. Have a mercy on us should we not forget in our pray to Jesus. As probably we have done any sins that we are not aware.

Let’s take a look what Jesus did after He hear from these 10 lepers. Jesus said  “go to show yourselves to the priest !”  For us maybe His command is a simple way to follow. He did not command to do a difficult way. But if we aware the context at that time, in Jews society, leprosy is sign of sin or dirty. So they need FAITH to follow His command. And the result is on thier way to the Prieset, they were cleansed. In our spiritual journey to follow Jesus, many of His command that we did not understand. We tend to rejected it. But if we obey, then there is a reward for us cause obeying Him. His plan is beyond our thinking, His way is above our way. His love to us is more deeper than the ocean. So just obey Him ! Cause He know the best for us.

When they were cleansed, only one go back to Jesus to give thanks to Jesus. This grateful atitude is the sign if we have faith on Him. As in verse ” 19 Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”, we can see Jesus  show a grateful atitude is important. Nowdays “thank you” is a difficult word to say in our societies.  Thank you as sign that we respect to other.  To have a grateful heart means we admit that God rule upon us.  Faith follow with a grateful heart as a package that we are the desciples of Jesus.

Your Faith Has Healed You

Mark 10:46-52

Blind Bartimaeus Receives His Sight

46 Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. 47 When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

48 Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”

So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” 50 Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.

51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him.

The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”

52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

It comes in our mind that why Bartimaeus have to shout with a loud voice to Jesus in order he can get healed from Jesus ? Will we do the same thing to Jesus when we are in struggling time ?

We can see Jesus's response to Bartimaeus to what he did. Jesus said "your faith has healed you". Sometimes or most of  at any times Jesus see our deepest heart when we pray to Him. Can He find FAITH in HIM when asking something to HIM ? Bartimaeus has pass with this test. When he shout to Jesus mean he realy sure that Jesus can heal him. In other word, Bartimaeus believe or have a Faith in Him.

So when ask something Jesus trough pray, check :

1. Do we really believe (faith) that Jesus can do what we ask for ? Or even more than we can think of. Remember He know what is the best for us.

2. Check our heart, if any sins that we still hide or not admit to ask forgiveness to Jesus ? Remember that OUR SINS will block Jesus's power to us.

So have a faith to Him. He will do the best for us.

A Key For Blessing Life (Life Full)

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" John 10:10

Most people said that a blessing life means if they have money , living at luxurious house or apartment, having expensive car, etc. But in the above verse said that the blessing life (full life) only come from our Jesus Christ. But sometimes we consider that the blessing life as Jesus mention above only will happened after we are in heaven not now. Is it ? If we carefully read above verse we can see that Jesus came to the world so whoever believe Him , admit and receive Him as their savior so at that moment they have life and have it to the full. Meaning that blessing life start now while we still in the earth (of course once we have Jesus in our life).

So what Jesus means with a blessing life ? If we see the Jesus example while He live in the earth, Did He a rich man ? He born at animal cage. And also He hasn't had His own house. So if we said a blessing life means have a lot of money, expensive house etc but Jesus didn't give this example during He live on the earth. So we can conclude that a blessing life that Jesus means not related to having a lot of money or luxurious things !

So how we have a blessing life as Jesus means ?

"We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body." 2 Corinthians 4 : 10.

From above verse that we have always carry around in our body the death of Jesus so if our earthly desire died then Jesus character will arise live in our life.

So meaning that all of our sinful behavior have to become death so Jesus can arise live in our life.

So the key to have a blessing life means we have to carry around in our body the death of Jesus. Can we do that ? Of we course we can if Jesus live in us not ourselves.

So our pray is always give thanks to Jesus for every things happened in our life whether they are good or bad cause God work in every things in our life for our good purpose.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
