I am curious as to what books have you read regarding the gift of the Seer? What did you learn from these books?

I have read the following The Seer and Dream Language by Jim Goll; Understanding the Dreams you Dream by Ira Milligan and the Shamar Prophet by Apostle John Eckhardt.

The seer explained the differences between the Ho'zen and the Na'bi prophets and the Shamar prophet explained how we see what we see.

  • My favorite is "The School of the Seers" by Jonathan Welton.  It explains what exactly a seer is and how to "unlock" the gift.  I learned of a whole new set of senses through this book - not only do we have five physical senses, but we also have five spiritual senses.  It talks of Discerning of Spirits, hindrances to discernment, healing spiritual blindness, etc.

"Understanding the Dreams you Dream" by Ira Milligan is another great one, but I see you've already read that one :)

  • Hello Teshawn, Trust my note finds you well! I bought the book Th Seer by Jim W. Goll. I haven't read it yet! -Jackee
    • Hello Jackee,
That was the first book I purchased regarding the seer gift. I often re-read certain chapters as I receive more revelation. I hope you find it a good resource.
  • The Seer Anointing (Book and Workbook) by Jim Goll
  • Jane Hamon, Bill Hamon's daughter-in-law, also has some great books on dreams and visions. One of them is "Dreams and Visions". Christian International, which is where Bill Hamon ministers, has some great resources for all prophetic ministry. They also offer classes for training. It's very biblical and very practical, which is rare for a prophetic ministry. : )
  • Hi Leesha,
Thanks for the recommendation. I will surely add those 2 books to my "books-to-get" list. I hope to learn from everyone else about the gifting of the seer as well.
    Take care and God bless.

Hey Teshawn, I also started with The Seer. If you are new to the prophetic giftings I would definitely recommend Bill Hamon's 2 books 1.Prophets and Personal Prophecy, and 2. Prophets Pitfalls and Principles: God's Prophetic People Today. Those these don't specifically teach on the subject of Seer, Mr. Hamon does an excellent job of defining, Biblically, how to receive and give personal prophecy. What I like about those is even if you are a seer, it helps you to understand the need for accountability-to keep from being a "false prophet". I hope to expand my knowledge through this group as well-so I will be looking to read some of those you listed as the Lord leads.

  • Really, I have very little experience with the prophetic dimension. For the time being I am studying Samuels Mantle Prophetic Classes. I surely reccomend this exiting website: www.samuelsmantle.com.
But I hope to expand my knowledge through this group.
