Surgery--Prayer Request

My husband is having surgery tomorrow morning at 8 am PST to reverse a colostomy.  He had to have emergency surgery about two months ago due to a hole in his colon.  This surgery is to put everything back in place again.  Last time he had surgery, he had a really hard time with the epideral due to hallucinations.  When he came home, he had a reaction to an anti-nausea medication which caused him to pace, talk non-stop, and have suicidal ideation.  Once he was off that medication, he was fine.  Has a tendency toward anxiety and has some difficulties with sleep.  I'd appreciate your prayers on his behalf and on mine as I support him and try not to fall too far behind at work.  Thanks!

  • In the name of Jesus, I come to You this morning, Father. Thank You for providing healing for us through the stripes on Jesus' back. Thank You for giving us the authority to heal and bring about Your will here on this earth. In the name of Jesus, we now take authority over this situation and declare that those whose minds are focused on You have perfect peace. We pray for focus and peace for Jenni's husband right now. We also pray for everything to fall into place according to Your will. Guide the hands of the physicians. Holy Spirit, hover over the room and bring restoration, wisdom, knowledge, and total healing. I declare Jesus' blood over this entire situation and we thank You for protecting him from start to finish. In the name of Jesus we pray and believe. Amen.

    • Thanks Sharon, he's doing pretty well now. Second surgery was a little over a months ago.  Still working on healing two wounds but he's back to work and pretty much back to normal.

  • Thanks everyone for your prayers.
  • How's he doing now? Just discovered this section of this website.
Praying his anxiety has come under God's loving care.
    • Stu is doing much better. He has two major wounds which need to heal but otherwise doing well. The wound nurse is watching these closely because they are both draining quite a bit. The anxiety was an issue before his surgeries--to the point that he has to turn off the water and unplug all of the electrical appliances trhoughout the house when we are going to be gone for more than an hour.
  • Surgery went well but now the issue is his anxiety. His legs are numb from the waste down due to the epidural. The nursing staff are not worried but he has it in his head that he is becoming paralyzed and can't relax. He's afraid to be left alone, so it's going to be hard for me to get a break from being at the hospital all day. Please keep praying--especially that he would be able to overcome this anxiety and fear. Thanks!
  • I am praying.
  • Father God in Jesus Name we come before You in behalf of Jenni and her husband. We Praise You God that you are a God of all wisdom and Power. We ask God that You be the surgeon hands and give him wisdom beyond his years that he would use all of his training to being Jenni's husband out of surgery without complication. That he would have a successful recovery period and come home to his family healed . We Thank You Lord in advance for these blessing on the behalf of this family. In Jesus Name Amen!
