Pulling the meanings together of the Hebrew letters that make up the name Jehovah Qanna we have the ancient meaning “to reveal the deed that secures the eternal posterity/son(s) of the family of the strong leader.” -- Family in this definition/ancient meaning is inferred. If we are talking about son(s) then there is a family--and I believe this name does refer to 'son(s)' --see the letter 'nun' and is definitely referring to a family. The jealousy that God shows, is a jealousy that protects us. See John 10:28--"no one shall pluck them out of my hand."
