About 5 years ago, the Missions Board of my church started having a Missionary Convention, which this year we have labeled Great Commission Sunday. In each of the conventions,  since 2017 we have asked for our supported Missionaries to submit prayer requests. We put these on a 4x6 card for each missionary--with the Missionaries picture on the car, and gave them out to the congregation for prayer. It took time for the missionaries to get used to providing them prayer requests to us, but something wonderful happened this year that I did not expect. In addition to the prayer requests that we received this year, we have also started getting praise items in addition. There were a few praise items in the past, but definitely more this year, so much so that I have asked advice on how to share these with our church. We pray and pray and pray and that can get wearisome—but hearing how the Lord is working is very encouraging—Hearing praise shows us that prayers do make a difference.

Intercession is not just individuals praying, but when a church commits to praying, much happens in advancing the Kingdom that is worthy of Praise to God!
