Praying for God to Bring Life

This morning after a time of prayer with others, and taking time to read some meditations, I came across the verse in Ezekiel 37:5 which says "Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:".  We yearn for revival.  --a thought about that--perhaps God's revival is to bring life to us.  Take some time an consider the short prayer minute below.  If it is your prayer too, then take time to pray it in your own words.

John 10:10, Ezekiel 37:5, Jeremiah 29:11

Christ said in John 10:10, that “I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.”

Christ wants us to have life.  God speaks in Ezekiel 37:5 that He will cause breath to enter us that we may come to life.  People have their ideas of what revival is, but when breath given to us by God, enters us, we are revived with life and purpose.  See Jeremiah 29:11.

Why have we not seen this happen?  Satan, who roams the earth foments a culture of death.  Satan does not want us to have life. He is constantly fighting against any move of God that brings life to people.  Sad.

Our prayer should be to continually pray that God will cause breath to enter us, giving us life, that is abundant and has a purpose.

Father, May You bring life to all of us, starting with myself.  I need life that you give with in me.  May that life be abundant and have a purpose,  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  • John 6:63 BSB The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life.

    Lord God,

Only You can create life. Please send Your life-giving Words into each one of us. You promised that Your Word will not return to You void. Please guard Your life-giving Words in us, Your Body, the church. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

    Isa 55:10-12 NLT

10“The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer

    and bread for the hungry.

11It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit.

It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

12You will live in joy and peace.
