Part of my role as an intercessor is to teach people to pray. Recently as I was working with one individual, he indicate a real hope to see corporate prayer. That was yesterday and later that night the Lord encouraged me to seek for corporate prayer for him and a situation that is facing the ministry that he is in.
I recognized as the Lord encouraged me, that the Lord had also brought another time of prayer similar to what this individual was asking--to me. It was a meaningful time.
I immediately went to my computer and drafted a possible letter that might open up a corporate time of prayer for this individual. It was sent last night and I am awaiting his reply.
The above is an exercise in listening in prayer.
I would like to use it as a springboard to hear from others share about their experiences as intercessors in listening as we minister and pray.

We may be focused on what we believe the Lord wants us to do--but God may want us to take another approach. Fortunately the Holy Spirit gently got my attention.
God's way is best--and I am pursuing it.
Lesson to me--confirmation that part of intercession is listening to the Lord.
