Joining With Others

One way you might define this as praying with those who have a similar burden to yours.

Sometimes as an intercessor we may have to carry the burdens of others to the Lord.  As intercessors we:

·         Sense what God wants to do

·         Often we see nothing happen

·         We seem to be the only one praying

·         We know of the burdens of others

In light of the above, perhaps we should be lifting the burdens of others to the Lord—especially ones that are similar to ours—joining with others—in agreement (Matthew 18:18).  Perhaps our joining with others in agreements will speed answers to prayer.

The fact that the burdens of others are similar to our burdens, our joining the Lord where He is working, is coming along side of them—not focusing primarily on yourself, but on the body of Christ as a whole.

What would be the anticipated result if we did this?

Have you experienced joining with others in prayer?

  •  I often wonder, how often do we miss what the Lord is doing, when we don’t listen and pray into another person’s ministry, or their cry unto the Lord?

Perhaps we could hear some encouragement, from those who have followed the Lord in carrying the ministry burdens of others to the Lord, -or- prayed into their vision that the Lord has given them--and by doing so--coming alongside of another person.
