Lord God, please bring a cessation of violence between Israel and Muslim extremist groups. Please reconcile nations that have long been at war, and find solutions to their issues that are not only peaceful but also just. Thwart the efforts of the enemy to derail progress through violence. In Jesus' name. Amen
Father, please bring an end to the reign of terror created by ISIS. Strengthen leaders in Egypt, Saudia Arabia, and other nations in the Middle East as they take action to oppose Islamic extremism. Raise up from within Islam a peaceful "counter-revolution" that will ostracize and dismantle these extremist groups. Cause your church to respond with grace and compassion in the midst of the violence and persecution brought on by this evil, and so distinguish the children of light from the children of darkness as to lead many who are currently in darkness to repent and come into the light.
In Jesus' name. Amen.
Father, please bring a quick and decisive end to terrorist groups like Al Qaeda and Boko Haram. Raise your powerful arm against this evil. Change the hearts and minds of the leaders of these organizations, or bring them to your judgment if they resist your Spirit.
Grant the leaders of this and other nations wisdom, courage, and unity to stand up against terrorism and to address the injustices and needs that give rise to such evil.

Father, thank you for the return of our military from Afghanistan. Please grant ongoing wisdom to our leadership and to leaders in other countries in dealing with the Taliban. Protect us from the need to "save face" - give us instead the courage and integrity to understand and recognized the actual situation, and the wisdom to respond appropriately.
Please break forever the power of the Taliban and of Al Qaeda. Change the hearts and minds of those who have given themselves over to evil; bring them to their knees in repentance and draw them to yourself.
Grant wisdom and unity to the international community in dealing with terrorism in Afghanistan and elsewhere. Please grant the fortitude and courage to do what's needed, and keep world leaders from posturing and pride.

Father, please grant our leaders wisdom in responding to North Korea. Free them from any biases, personal or political. Show them the truth about North Korea and give them unity in their response.
Please also change the hearts of North Korea's leaders. Bring them to repentance and call them to change course. Raise up leadership for this country who will be able to re-integrate North Korea in the international community and who will put the needs of their people first.
Shine a light on the dark places in North Korea and bring forth a unified, effective international response.

Father, please grant wisdom and courage to our country's leaders as they confront terrorism here and abroad. Protect our leaders from personal or political bias and help them to make good decisions. Give them foresight to enable them to prevent terrorism here in the US, as well as insight into the right actions to take abroad. Bring unity across party lines and between our executive and legislative branches on these decisions.
Please change the hearts and minds of terrorists, drawing them away from violence and toward repentance and to yourself. Shine the light of your word and grace into the dark places of their hearts. Break the power of terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda, ISIS, and Boko Haram. Raise up effective international cooperation against terrorism worldwide.
Demonstrate, Lord, that you are indeed greater than he who is in the world.
