This is a good start, I have been prayer walking in our neighbor hood, not today because of snow, but we have a church 2 blocks from out home, that was empty, I prayed for the building to be filled with a good Bible believing group of people, and that those in our neighborhood who don't know Christ. would come into the Church, that this would be a strong lighthouse for our area. Even if that church is not a part of your denominations pray for that Church, their pastor that can lead them to a hunger and thirst for God, His Word and to send those into the Church that need the healing and encouragement only Christ can provide.
Another great tool for praying for our cities is the Seek God for the City campaign. Although the prayer topics and guidelines are useful at any time, there is a specific 40-day campaign starting on February 18 and leading up to Palm Sunday. Printed prayer guides and apps are available at www.waymakers.org.
Some folks in my church have been using this guide for the last three years, and we're making it available to our congregation again through our Prayer Ministry.
For anyone who is interested, check out the "Seek God for the City" group, where a discussion thread has been created to enable us to pray together for our cities through the campaign.
Pray for Movement Day; Pray for City Movements Across the Nation
Your Prayers Are Needed
As Movement Day approaches, we are reminded of our great need for God’s wisdom, direction, anointing, covering and protection over all involved in this gathering, as well as the work of our hands. Would you join with us in prayer over the next 6 weeks using the below prayer points? We’d be immensely grateful.
As you pray, if you have an encouraging word for our team we’d love to hear it. Please feel free to e-mail it to Ebony Small, Director of Movement Day, at esmall@nycleadership.com. May God bless you richly! Thanks so much for laboring with us in prayer!
Conference Speakers & Artists:
1. Ask God for a tangible outpouring of His Spirit over the 100+ plenary and track speakers poised to minister to the hearts of over 1,500 leaders. May their words penetrate hearts, inspire, generate God-ideas and catalyze change in cities.
2. Pray for God’s protection over all speakers, their families, friends and colleagues. Let’s also ask God for physical health, emotional, mental and supernatural spiritual strength to endure.
3. Ask God to order each speakers talks to address the relevant needs of their hearers.
4. Pray for God’s anointing and presence upon Bethel Gospel Assembly’s worship team and the Getty Music team as they lead worship throughout the day.
5. Pray for the moderator of each panel discussion that they would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading in how they navigate the dialogue.

Penny,
Are you on your own? Does your pastor support what you are doing? What can you tell us about your congregation's culture of prayer?
With thanks,
Phil
