A Rooftop Story What happens when people begin seeing their town through God’s eyes?   Six years ago, Pastor Kevin Duncan was called to be the pastor at First Baptist Church San Manuel, Arizona.  San Manuel is a small town of about 3500 people outside of Tucson.  It was once a vibrant mining town but the mine closed.  With the close of the mine, life became hard for many.  When Pastor Duncan arrived, the church was struggling.  They began looking for ways to reach the community but the results of their efforts weren't what they were hoping for. All that began to change in October 2017 when Pastor Kevin was introduced to The Rooftop.  Over the past year, God has transformed First Baptist Church.  On Sunday, October 28, I had the opportunity to be with them; to see and hear what God is doing in the life of His people.  The once-struggling church was vibrant with life!  Children were everywhere!  There was a spirit of joy and expectancy as people arrived for worship.  It was amazing! After the service, I asked Pastor Kevin to share with me the story of San Manuel and how God has used The Rooftop to awaken the church to His vision for their town.  Once he finished telling it, I knew that I had to share it with all of you who pray for and invest in this ministry. While this is one story, it is not the only story.  What God is doing at San Manuel, He is doing in other places.  Through The Rooftop, He is awakening churches to His passion for the lost.  He is giving Christ followers fresh eyes to see people as He sees them.  Those who are far from God are hearing the Gospel Story.  Lives are being changed.  Disciples are being made.  Your prayers and your gifts to The Rooftop US make it possible for us to devote time and resources to churches like San Manuel.  When you pray for and give to The Rooftop US, you become part of the story.  You become part of the fabric that God is using to weave together the tapestry of His redemptive work across our nation.
