1 Peter 3:9 says, "Do not return evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, return blessing for this you have been called that you may return a blessing." Jesus told us to do good & pray for those who persecute us. Prov. 25:22 points out that doing good to the evil is like heaping burning coals on his head. I have used the power of blessing on people for years. For those who are struggling in righteousness, a blessing helps them. Someone who is carnal will find a blessing will correct them. Someone who still deals with demons will have all sorts of problems -- they can even die if they refuse to repent! But that's between them and God; I am not judging. I say, "Bless 'em all; let God sort 'em out!"
Here's a Blessing a disciple of mine wrote:
R T's Blessing.
I bless you - I bless you with wisdom from the Throne of God, to know what to do and when to do it; that when it appears you have no idea how to conduct yourself or what to say, the Spirit of God will come upon you in power to such a degree that your confidence is bolstered on the spot and you speak with all boldness.
I bless you, that grace is poured upon your lips and your tongue is the pen of our Ready Writer. I bless you that the LORD goes before you to prepare the way in the hearts of all those you come into contact with. He writes Jesus upon their hearts through your mouth.
I bless you with extra-ordinary peace that can't be shaken by any timid thoughts or thoughts which are really false humility.
I bless you with more than I could ask or imagine for you.
