Subtitled, "A Biblical Theology of the Church's Mission," you might make the mistake of thinking this is a book for missionaries or missiologists. And it is. But, it is also a book for people of prayer.

Smack dab (whatever that means) in the middle of a theology of missions book is a chapter focusing on the role of prayer among people on mission. Persons, families, congregations and organizations that consider themselves to be alive in Christ and for Christ, must be "People Who Praise and Pray."

Wright's discussion is a good source of information for prayer leaders and prayer team members who need to better integrate the relationship of praise and petition. He also challenges our thinking in a way that will expand our view of not just what to pray for but why we pray in the first place.
