FULL STEAM AHEAD by Karen Witemeyer is a Christian historical romance which is my new favorite genre since Simon and Schuster published my VOW UNBROKEN set in 1832 Texas. Also Karen's a Texas author! I can't get enough historical Christian romances. I know 50 other great Christian books is you need more recommendations! Blessings!
the Bible---------It is the power of Gods Word that transforms and it is the truth that sets us free and it is a constant reminder of the gift God has given us and how with out Jesus we can do nothing. There may be another book from time to time that God will put on my heart to read but as you all know none take the place of the Bible.
The Bible is a given! You're so right, Norm! I haven't read FULL STEAM AHEAD yet, but I can tell you that VOW UNBROKEN is chock full of scriptural principles such as - worry is the opposite of faith and an insult to God - or that knowing ABOUT God does NOT make you a Christian, you must have a relationship with Him, and another principle is wait on God, it isn't the end until it's really The End. This was my 10th title published, but my first from a major publisher (Simon and Schuster) AND my first historical Christian romance (my new favorite genre!) From when new agent said to write one set in the 1800s to her selling it to S&S = FIVE MONTHS. No one can say that wasn't God. I wrote it in NINE weeks! Last year God miraculously made it possible for me to attend the ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) Conference and I was OVERWHELMED to be in the company of over 700 Christian writers. God is definitely using this media. But you are right NO BOOK compares to His Holy Living Word!
