Lord, yet again people have to flee fires. Many are from the same places that had already lost much in previous fire seasons. Please calm the winds and stop the fires. Please help the fire fighters whose own lives are endangered trying to protect people and their properties. Please take care especially of the weak and vulnerable - like the patients of the hospital that had to evacuate. Let there be no more loss of life.
Let some good come out of these disasters - especially that people will realize how much they need You, not only for the needs of our earthly existence, but especially for salvation through the cross of Jesus Christ.

Thank You for answering our pleas for Your help. But our troubles continue. Please keep on helping us, because of Your grace and longsuffering patience. Here in California are many who are hostile to You and Your Word, but here are also many who follow You and love You. Please be merciful to us all.
