Managing Your Emotions From a Biblical Perspective

We will explore some common emotions that surface during times of transition and change. We will discuss how these emotions impact us, and learn to apply body, soul and spirit solutions to manage and express these emotions in a healthy way. Finally, I will share some resources if you or someone you know needs additional assistance.

Remembering Robert Crossland
October 12, 1942 – March 25, 2022
Robert "Ted" Crossland was a kind, conscientious family man. As treasurer, he kept impeccable financial records for NBEA.  After his tenure as treasurer, he was a vital part of the NBEA fellowship and the most consistent financial supporter of NBEA. He loved the Lord and His people. Our condolences to his daughter, Dawn, his niece, Debbie, and the rest of his far-flung family.
Pray, Participate, and Give
The National Black Evangelical Association (NBEA) has been a safe place for Black evangelicals. It has provided koinonia and has been a prophetic voice to and from Black evangelicals. Over the past few years NBEA has weathered some turbulent times financially and organizationally with the death of a number of its stalwart board members and the suspension of its annual conventions. However, NBEA is back. We are regularly hosting forums on topics of interest to Black evangelicals and others. We are meeting weekly to pray for our constituents, our community, the church and our nation. We are looking forward to resuming face to face events, such as conventions; more robust communications outreach; and innovative programming.
Our forums have included topics such as Trumpism, Truth, and Defiant Political Oppressors invite a Divine Judgment. Next month, on February 7th, we will have a forum on The Black Roots of the Black Church. Later in the year, we expect to offer forums on Blacks in the Bible, Afrocentrism within the Culture of Holiness, and a Black Evangelical Perspective on Reparations. We invite you to attend the forums and to encourage others to attend.
NBEA needs you. First of all, we need you to pray for NBEA. Pray by yourself but also join with us when we gather online every Thursday night at 9:00 CT to pray. We pray for ourselves, our burdens, our constituents, the Church, and our nation. As we pray, we are actively seeking God’s direction for the association in the future. We believe God is the strategist behind Christian organization strategic planning. If God is calling you to minister through NBEA, we encourage you to join us in praying for how we can help you respond.
