Maryland Prays!

On Sat., Nov. 18, “Maryland Prays” gathered intercessors from around the state. Every county was represented with a flag as we prayed for Maryland, our nation, Israel and many issues. It was beautiful. Thirteen people attended from the Eastern Shore. We see strong evidence of God raising up His prayer army. He is giving assignments to individuals in His Body, and many are choosing to be obedient to them. For instance, He has raised up Dave and Katie Yockey in Cambridge to mobilize Dorchester residents in prayer for their county. Gail Crosby in Berlin has heeded His call to gather people from many churches to “make God’s name known and see souls saved” in our town. They will walk the streets and pray during their first event, “I Love Berlin Night.” Pam Hoffman is planning a large regional rally this spring in Salisbury to pray about the opioid and heroin crisis. She is engaging churches and bringing in leaders from every Eastern Shore county in Maryland and Delaware. Easton and Talbot County, led by Sheriff Joe Gamble, is fully engaged in warfare against addiction. All of these groups have lots of support. Sara Lewis, in Ocean City, assembled 47 women for prayer, and she is even mobilizing residents in our local nursing home to pray with purpose. Della Ambergey has made the school where she works in Worcester County her prayer target. She gathers others and has seen great results with the students and staff. All of these people are bringing together churches and denominations in unity. We meet with individuals who ask for guidance in doing what God has called them to. The Lord told us, “Wisdom, influence and favor can accomplish more than hard work, if you trust Me.” These practical revivalists have the wisdom to humble themselves in prayer, influence to gather others to join them, and favor that God hears their requests. What is God calling you to do in prayer? In outreach? You don’t have to be afraid to step out. He will support you in everything He has given you to do. Please send us reports of what you are doing in your territory. As we relay them to others, they will be encouraged to join in.
