Hello Roseland and West Pullman Prayer Warriors!
When the disciples asked Jesus why they were unable to cast the demon out of a young boy, He said that "this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." (NKJV). Could it be that the demons that are behind the violence in our neighborhood can only be thwarted with prayer and fasting by a united Church? Let's join together this summer in seeking God for Peace! Please consider joining other leaders as we fast and pray for peace in Roseland and West Pullman this summer on Fridays!
1. FRIDAY PEACE CAMPAIGN
Join community leaders on Fridays from 7-10pm at the corner of 119th St. and Michigan. This is still our "hot corner" as two people were shot one block away last Friday! We need the prayer warriors to stand together to help make peace happen.
2. SATURDAY OUTREACHES
Community leaders are uniting to have at least two Saturday outreaches each month. Here are the ones that are upcoming:
- July 24th (4-7pm) at the corner of 113th St. & Michigan. (We'll be passing out water, snacks, hand sanitizer and praying with individuals).
- July 31st (11am-3pm) at 113th St. and Wentworth (Roseland Good News Back to School Rally - ferris wheel, pony rides, petting zoo, fire truck, face painting, games, bounce house, food and more!
- August 7th (1-4pm) at 103rd St. and State St. (No Crime Day & Back To School Outreach)
3. TUESDAY ZOOM PRAYER
Join us for an hour of power, as we intercede for the community.
