Hong Kong's Church has a rich legacy of missionary sending and providing social services, and it sees itself as having a personal calling to support the mainland Chinese Church. And yet the temptation for falling into the trap of materialism and nominalism is ever present.
Hong Kong is materially blessed. It has one of the highest GDPs per capita in Asia and a long history of economic success.
The nation's Church is faced with a choice: either follow the path of the world and fall deeper into materialism, or use these blessings for the advancement of God's kingdom.
