CITYREACHING & DIASPORA     Cityreaching, as a discipline, seeks to "proclaim" the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in word and deed, toward the transformation of our cities, communities and our nation. Cityreaching seeks the shalom, wholeness, and prosperity of the city. For that to begin to happen it requires united prayer and action, since the task it too big to do alone.   Diaspora, means scattered, and has  Biblical precedent as a means to accomplish the purposes of God for the nations. The Global diaspora of the 21st Century is reshaping our cities and communities, with more than 250 million people on the move globally. Cout this be an unprecedented move of God in our day? Today in order to reach our cities for Christ, we must reach the numerous new people groups who are our neighbors.   The Church is arising to this great opportunity to respond with the love of Christ to our new neighbors but we have much to learn together. Articles, links and videos are available for understanding Islam.   30-Days of Prayer is a Christian, international movement of intercession for the Muslim world. 30 days has created prayer booklets coinciding with the Islamic month of Ramadan. Their goal is to pray for all Muslim people groups until all are reached. They have been encouraging, educating and enabling prayer since 1993. Our purpose is toserve a missional movement through greater awareness of what God is doing in bringing us the Unengaged and Unreached peoples of our world. Please feel free to forward this email to your colleagues, prayer partners and missional groups.   In this first issue, our main focus is on praying for and reaching Muslims, as Ramadan starts Tuesday, July 9th. We have recently launched a new initiative to mobilize prayer for our Muslim neigbors.
