Prayer Requests: Pray for me (Dr. Dan Crawford) in June as I:

  • ·      Lead a prayer emphasis at the Capital City Baptist Church, Mexico City.
  • ·      Serve as a messenger to the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting in Houston, TX
  • ·      Participate in the SEND VANCOUVER meetings during the Southern Baptist Convention, Houston, TX.
  • ·      Lead a Vancouver Vision Tour on June 26-29.
  • ·      Continue working on a new book manuscript, “Morning Manna: Hidden and Unhidden.”
  • ·      Continue leading a Bible Reading Group on Facebook, now with 106 members.

 

Prayer Team report:

  • ·      We currently have 370 members on the Prayer Team, which includes 33 members of the International Advisory Council, 23 members of the North American Advisory Council and 22 members of the Disciple All Nations Board of Directors.
  • ·      SEND Conference -  Plan now to attend the North American Mission Board’s SEND Conference on July 29-30, 2013 at Prestonwood Baptist Church, Plano, TX.  There will be opportunities to learn more about Vancouver.  For more information, go to www.sendconference.com
  • ·      2013 Vancouver Vision Tours – Pray for future tour on September 16-18 (sign-up deadline -Aug. 27). We currently have 110 potential Vision Tour participants on the Vision Tour E-mail list.
  • ·       WestCoast Baptist Association – Join with WBA as they ask God to increase their prayer partners to1000 who will pray weekly.  
  • ·       Origin Church, Vancouver - Thank God for recent baptisms of University of British Columbia students.
  • ·       Pacific Rim church – Pray for Pastor Wayne Aldridge who is recovering from a recent heart attack.
  • ·       The Connection Church, Maple Ridge (metro Vancouver), Canada still needs a mission team of 3-6 persons on July 8-12 and/or August 5-9.
  • ·       Church on the Mountain,Whistler – Pray for this church as they seek a new pastor.
  • ·      The Bridge Church, Vancouver – Pray for preparation for their Sports Camp on July 8-12.  This annual event produces numerous connections with families.
  • ·      The Point Church, Burnaby  Pray that they will be able to purchase a new Amplifier for their gatherings ($390). Currently they are renting, but would like to be able to purchase one soon, thus saving money in the long run. 
  • ·      Summer Missionaries – Pray for Jessica Holmes as she makes plans for 20+ summer missionaries for outreach efforts of seven of church plants.
  • ·      P2 – Pray for Janet Campbell as she coordinates 70+ secondary school students in working with six church plants through the program P2, formerly Powerplant.
  • ·      Give thanks that Johnny and Nita Bynum received a two year visa for Canada and have moved their belongings there to serve. Pray for Nita as she continues to seek her Canadian nursing certification.
  • ·      Steveston Village – Pray for Brad and Rhonda Forlow as they seek to raise the remainder of their salary support so they can move in August to plant a church in Steveston Village. They currently have 40% and will spend June and July on the road talking with potential partners.
  • ·      U.S. Advocates – Pray for new Advocates needed to serve four geographical areas of metro Vancouver. This requires two meetings per year in Vancouver at the Advocate’s expense. Advocates are needed for Richmond/Steveston; Ladner/Tsawwassen; Langley/Cloverdale; Upper Fraser Valley. Next Advocates meeting is September 18-19.
  • ·      North American Mission Board’s “Send Vancouver” web site is a good prayer guide. Check it out at http://www.namb.net/vancouver.

Pray for Vancouver Island                   WestCoast Baptist Association

  • Ekklesia Church, Sidney, Vancouver Island. Pray for Matthew and Heather Bond as they assist with a campout for their son, Joseph's class. They will be in charge of all of the food for the students and parents for the campout.  Pray for the relationships being built with teachers and other parents.
  • The Village Church, Victoria, Vancouver Island. Pray for Ashley Austin and team as they select a church logo and as they prepare to host a flag football camp July 29-August 2 for the purpose of meeting parents of the campers.

In May, I did the following ministry-related things:

  • ·      Visited with former Seminary student, Dr. John Crowder, Pastor, First Baptist Church, West, TX after he lost his home in the West fertilizer plant explosion.
  • ·      Led a Vancouver Vision Tour for Youth/Student Leadership Team from Wedgwood Baptist Church, Fort Worth.
  • ·      Met with Brad & Rhonda Forlow to consult on their upcoming move to Steveston, BC, Canada.
  • ·      Worked on a new book manuscript, “Morning Manna: Hidden and Unhidden.”
  • ·      Coordinated a 106 member Bible-reading group on Facebook.

 

Web site report:

  • ·      In May we had 30,448 hits on our web site.  This represented 2238 unique visitors or an average of 72 individuals visiting our web site each day. This compares to last month when we had 24,796 hits and 2498 unique visitors – an average of 83 per day.

  • ·      The E-mail subscription list for, “Dr. Dan’s Monday Morning Manna” is at 449. You can subscribe to “Manna” by going to http://discipleallnations.org and clicking on “Subscribe now” and following the instructions.
  • ·      Pray Network, Monday Morning Manna with subjects relating to prayer is posted on the “Pray Network” website at http://www.praynetwork.org, which has 4267 members.  “Reading about Prayer or Praying?” was posted on May 27.
  • ·      eThoughts: Archive subjects from “Monday Morning Manna” are sent via E-mail to the 2000+ member mailing list of eThoughts Devotional Ministry of Ruston, Louisiana.
  • ·      LinkedIn: As of the end of April, there were 471 persons who potentially read the “Manna” as LinkedIn “Connections.”  It is also available to persons who are connections of my connections.
  • ·      Twitter: As of the end of February, there were 97 persons who potentially read the “Manna” as Twitter “Followers.”  Some of my “followers” re-tweet me to their “followers” creating a potential reading list of thousands. You can follow me on Twitter at @DrDanRC.

Pray for the World

  • ·       Continue to pray for Jerry, a missionary pilot with Sahel Aviation Service whose airplane is missing after take-off from the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome. Check the website for updates – www.findjerry.com.
  • ·       Rejoice with the ministry in Macau. Ten new believers will be baptized on Sunday morning June 9th.
  • ·       Pray for volunteers with Winshape Foundation International who are conducting Servant Leadership seminars in three Universities in Greece.
    • ·       Spiritual battles are strong and those who serve in Slovenia ask you to pray for protection over the small body of believers in Maribor.
    • ·       Pray for Lori as she anxiously awaits the proper time to return to her field of service.
