SERVING APARTMENTS   BUILDING COMMUNITIES Prayer Guide Saturday, July 1, 2023 We completed our very first Discovery Bible Study month-long training this past Tuesday night. This was sort of a pilot project to see if we could intentionally equip folks in DBS. IT WORKED!! PTL!!! Thank you for praying for these past four weeks of Tuesday night training sessions on DBS. PRAY for this group of awesome folks who are interested in using DBS to disciple folks towards conversion and then to become multiplying disciplemakers.  CityLife is committed to making disciples and multiplying disciplemakers in and through apartments. We are using ancient, Biblical principles to make disciples who make disciples. Our strategy is not ours. It’s the Lord’s strategy because this is His work. We don’t create a strategy. We pray and obey. We listen to the Holy Spirit and get in on what He is already doing.  That is why a manager asked us to go by and connect with an assistant manager at a different apartment complex and we were well received. That is why a regional VP began to cry when I shared with her what CityLife does, including praying for people. She spilled her heart out in front of her two employees because her heart was heavy for her brother who decided to leave the family. That is why a regional manager invited us to serve her eight properties in a different city. That is why a manager asked me to come to her new apartment two years ago and we just completed two semesters of an after school program.  We can’t come up with this kind of stuff or design a strategy. It has to be God. It is God. It is ONLY GOD! Whew! Praise be the Lord! He alone deserves our praise and worship.  I PRAY that you will continue to lift us to the Father and will join us in prayerwalking our apartments. Also, we would love for you to PRAY about volunteering for an event or bringing a mission team to see what God is doing. Pray and obey…the Lord, not me. LOL For His Glory! They represented their church by living out and obeying the Great Commission to everyone they came in contact ready and willing to share the Good News of the Gospel! It was inspiring to watch them care and share our Lord with others! We love WEBC very much and are so excited to see what God does in and through you in Gaffney, Blacksburg and beyond.
