In the county I live in, the estimated number of Muslims grew by almost 300% from 2000 to 2010 to reach a population of nearly 60,000 according to one report. You can look up the figures for where you live at 2010 US Religious Census.
When we consider that God "determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God" (see Acts 17:26-27), we should rejoice to see God's plan for the nations in action! Local churches and ministries have an amazing opportunity to bless Muslims neighbors in the name of Jesus Christ by agreeing together in prayer on their behalf (see Matthew 18:19).
My church and a group of local college students developed a simple guide to pray specifically for Muslims in our county. We coordinated a time to use the guide together and invited others to join us then, but the guide continues to be distributed and used.
While the guide does contain some requests and information particular to my county, I am giving the link to it here to encourage and maybe help others to develop similar guides for other locations. So please feel free to use any part of the guide in your own prayer efforts.
