I’ve Tried Everything!

Eph 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on
praying for all the saints.

Rom 8:15-17 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we
cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit
that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of
God and co-heirs with Christ,

Gal 4:6-7 Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." So you
are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you
also an heir.

else I guess it’s time to pray. Oh how we hurt others and ourselves when we
fail to make prayer, serious Spirit-seeking prayer, the FIRST order of
business. God will answer and He is always faithful. After all, if we belong to
Him we are His children and a parent looks out for their kids. Maybe the problem
with us is that we expect Him to answer exactly the way we want. Sometimes He
does, but sometimes He has another plan. What we have to remember is that it is
all about Him. Once we arrive at that point in our relationship with this great
and mighty God who allowed His own Son to suffer and die for us, we will
experience the peace and joy that whatever His response we will know it is
right, it is for our good and it is for His glory. Paul offers a solution for
those times when we don’t know how or what to pray, In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself
intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. (Rom 8:26) Bottom line, the answer is PRAY!

If all you can do is pray, then good! That's the best thing you CAN do in ANY situation!

Exactly. I guess one of the reasons we're sometimes not in a hurry to pray about things is because we're afraid that the answer might be "no", or that we won't get an answer at all. (Of course, there are some things we ought to be glad that we didn't get "yes" as an answer, right?)
He can see everything, we can only see our little corner of the world. We should know that we can trust Him.

Too often we hear, 'sigh' Well all I can do is pray. "sigh sigh". Jesus asked who do people say that I Am, Peter relplied some say this, some say that, Jesus said but who do you say that I Am, Peter replied thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God. And Jesus aswered and said Blessed are you Simon Son of Jonah, flesh and blood did not reveal this to you but my Father who is in heaven. I want to tell you something you are a Rock and on this Rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. I give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, what ever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
The question becomes who do you pray to and what do you believe. Do you believe Jesus' words?

I think the attitude of "Well, I've tried everything" and "All I can do is pray" is totally wrong. The first thing we need to do IS to pray because it's the BEST thing we can do. These other attitudes are negative thinking that Satan can use against us.

For instance, if you tried everything else first and haven't prayed - well, that's time gone by that could've been spent in prayer - which is the best thing you can do. This attitude doesn't sound like a warrior, but more like a whimp. We have to remember who we are in Christ and to whom we belong. We have to remember that pray changes things - not trying to do everything in our own efforts. We have to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might!

It is when we are exhausted and give that God begins to work and bring glory to Himself because His ways are not our ways. It is when we are broken that He uses us most. While too often we may resort to our training and a method we are familiar with but it is when we are broken and humble that he gives us wisdom. If we could do God's work without Him then we would mock Him by our wisdom and ways.

You have not because you ask not...come boldly to the throne...pray without ceasing.

Prayer is my lifeline - a constant means of communication to my 'soul' provider. I have experienced more than a few times in weakness no words for prayer...but a broken spirit kneeling and have received intercession (Rom. 8:26) - I am thankful I know His voice and He knows mine.

One of my favorite Christian authors is an old-time English minister, J.Sidlow Baxter - most famous I guess for his book, EXPLORE THE BOOK. His comment on prayer was...

"Men may spurn our appeals, reject our message, oppose our arguments, despise our persons, but they are helpless against our prayers."

My encouragement is to pray the Word, claim the promises, have faith in the object of our prayers - JESUS CHRIST - who ALWAYS lives to make intercession on our behalf.
