1 — WHY Reimagine?

Primary question: Why should I reconsider how I think about what I believe and how I practice it?

As We Begin...

“To reimagine is not to change what we believe, but to reconsider how we think about what we believe.”

That distinction shapes everything that follows.

Reimagine.Network does not begin by asking us to abandon biblical truth or adopt the most popular trend. It invites us to examine whether our assumptions, traditions, methods, systems, and ministry practices faithfully express that truth in the mind of Christ.

Why Reimagine?

Because we do not want to confuse tradition with transformation.

Because we do not want to keep improving programs while neglecting the renewal of our minds.

Because Christ is not merely one topic among many. He is the center.

Because the right solution is often birthed by the right question.

Because Romans 12:2 calls us to resist being shaped by the patterns of this world and to allow God to transform us by renewing the way we think.

What Are We Reimagining?

Not the Gospel.

Not the authority of Scripture.

Not Jesus Christ.

We are reimagining how we think about—and therefore how we practice—discipleship, prayer, evangelism, church, leadership, compassion, mission, unity, culture, and the future of ministry.

We are blessed by tradition, but we are not bound to assume that every inherited application, structure, method, or ministry habit is timeless.

What If . . .

every biblical call to repent includes an invitation

to change the way we think?

Spirit-Led. Scripture-Fed.

Reimagining is not an invitation to rely on human imagination. It is an invitation to yield our thinking to the Holy Spirit and allow Scripture to expose, correct, renew, and redirect us.

“Don't be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him.” — Romans 12:2 (CEV)

That renewal must reach beyond our private moral lives. It must shape how we pray, make disciples, share the Gospel, lead, organize ministry, engage our communities, and live together as the Body of Christ.

Our Invitation

We are not looking for quick fixes. We are not beginning with programming.

We are asking God for the humility to listen, the courage to unlearn what must be unlearned, and the faith to follow our Lord Jesus wherever He leads.

Reimagining begins when we become willing to let God renew the way we think.

Reimagine.Network Has Changed

Not simply in appearance. Not merely in navigation. Not only in the number of resources available. We have revamped the way the site functions.

Revamp suggests “a bold, energetic transformation, a fresh perspective, and an adventurous leap into something dynamically different.”

Reimagine.Network began as a growing collection of articles, interviews, discussions, tools, and ministry resources.

As the archive grew, finding related content became difficult and time consuming. We knew we had to reimagine how to serve explorers who came to us already on their own reimagine journey.

From a Resource Catalogue to a Guided Pursuit System (GPS)

Reimagine.Network has reformatted as a “GPS,” designed to help pastors, ministry leaders, teams, and thoughtful Christ-followers explore the questions that matter, connect relevant resources, discern biblically, and pursue faithful next steps.

From Browsing Content to Following a Path

We believe faithful reimagination often begins with a holy dissatisfaction—something that prompts us to ask a better question.

That question becomes a leadership challenge, raises a theological issue, and/or calls for spiritual growth. The guided pathways invite connected conversations fueled by “Big Questions,” “Ministry Hubs,” “Leader Labs,” “Thought-Leader” interviews, and leadership tools. Next steps and strategies are not prescribed for you; they are prayerfully discerned by you and your team.

Our organizing framework is increasingly shaped by questions because we have learned: “Better ministry decisions often begin with better questions.”

From Quick Answers to Guided Inquiry

We invite careful reading, biblical reflection, honest conversation, examination of assumptions, prayerful discernment, and faithful experimentation.

From Isolated Resources to Connected Learning

Learning resources are connected so an explorer can move from merely reading to reflecting and refocusing, discussing and discerning, which invariably lead to action.

From Ministry Information to Ministry Formation

The goal is not to simply know more, but to allow the Holy Spirit through Scripture to reshape how we think, live, lead, and serve.

From One-Way Communication to Conversation

We don't merely present information for people to read. We accompany them as they discover, listen, and respond to truth through thought-provoking commentary, discussion guidelines, sidebar quotes and comments. Every article becomes a conversation.

From Maintaining Ministry to Reimagining Faithfulness

We ask whether familiar ways of thinking and working faithfully express Scripture and the mind of Christ in our present context. Faithful change is anchored in Scripture, prompted by holy curiosity, and pursued with courage.

Please don't hurry. These are Guided Spiritual Formation Conversations. Read prayerfully. Pause often. Reflect honestly. Respond personally.

We don't merely present information for you to read. We accompany you as you discover, listen to, and respond to truth.

Better Questions

Better questions slow us down. They interrupt assumptions, awaken curiosity, expose blind spots, and invite us to listen more carefully.

Better questions create space for the Holy Spirit to renew our minds through Scripture.

Throughout Scripture, God often worked through questions. Jesus consistently utilized questioning to open minds and hearts.

Jesus wasn't merely talking theology. He was inviting transformation.

Quest Before You Question

Questing is learning to become a more perceptive seeker, a disciplined listener, an unafraid unlearner, and a faithful follower of wherever the Holy Spirit leads through Scripture.

Looking Through a Glass Darkly

We do not begin by assuming we see everything clearly. We approach Scripture, prayer, and one another with humility and dependence.

“Now all we can see of God is like a cloudy picture in a mirror.

Later we will see him face to face.

We don't know everything, but then we will, just as God completely understands us.”

1 Corinthians 13:12

The Holy Spirit often reveals truth one insight, one conversation, one act of obedience at a time.

Every conversation becomes another opportunity to see a little more clearly.

May your better questions lead to deeper trust, your deeper trust lead to faithful obedience, and your faithful obedience become a blessing to those you shepherd.

Reimagine.Network is not designed merely for individual reading. Invite a ministry team, leadership group, small group, cohort, congregation, or trusted friend into the conversation.

Don't force your way through the material. Flow through it prayerfully, allowing the Holy Spirit to redirect your attention so that you experience—not merely complete—what you are reading.

Culture, Not Merely Curriculum

Culture is a much larger word than curriculum.

Curriculum teaches.

Culture shapes.

We are cultivating a culture of listening, humility, thoughtful questioning, dependence on the Holy Spirit, biblical reflection, shared discernment, and faithful participation.

The facilitator guides the conversation so that everyone participates, learns to ask questions, and experiences a Spirit-led culture.

The Facilitator

a Guide, not a Director.

The facilitator does not control the conversation or hurry people through material. The facilitator creates space for Scripture, the Holy Spirit, better questions, and one another.

The facilitator's goal is not to lead people through the material. The facilitator's goal is to help the material, through Scripture and the Holy Spirit, lead people to Jesus Christ.

James 1:19 gives us a useful posture: Be an active listener. Think before you speak. Don't react; respond. (paraphrase)

Practice Spirit-Led Listening

Attend to Scripture.
Mind the Holy Spirit.
Hear one another.
Listen before declaring.
Learn before defending.
Pray before deciding.
