X marks the spot

Why are Christians known more for what they are against rather than what (Who) they are for?

Because it is easier to be against than for. Because "againsters" are always recruiting/guilting others into joining them?

Like the "x" as in Xmas. Why go ballistic, especially since it originally signified Jesus?

Why go postal over "Happy Holidays"? Or even the lame "season's greetings"?

No one has ever yelled at me for saying 'Merry Christmas."

Why should I expect/demand Jews, Muslims, atheists, whatever say "Merry Christmas"?

Take a breath, folks. Die on the right mountain. These aren't even hills...

  • Just because we as believers know the "back of the book"  dosent mean we stop speaking about Jesus. God uses us to be that light to enlighten  unbelievers. If we start being tolerant and not speaking then I would question if people truly do believe. That is part of having faith is speaking without fear Jesus's name.
  • Walter, it may appear nonbelievers are winning; but we know the "back of the Book..." I'll seize the opportunities to brag on Jesus and proclaim the gospel; but I'll not expect children of the devil to act (or talk) like children of light...need to recall that it is not a case of they won't understand, they can not understand unless and until God enlightens them (Romans)...Blessings!
  • These things may seem small but if you look at the bigger picture this is people trying to take God out of everything. And non-believers are winning. They have almost taken God out of eveything. Look at schools, once they took God out of schools violence has grown, more school shootings, people killing themselves because of bullying. God does warn us of these kinds of things happening in his word. And it's just going to get worse. If it wasent for Jesus there would be no Christmas.

We as believers need to take a stand for God and not be so tolerant. If people say dont say Merry Christmas tell them why you say it , share the gospel. Because thats what Christmas is all about. It's not about presants and santa clause. It's about Jesus!! These may not seem like hills but when we group all these things togather they turn into mountains.
