    FUSE looks to me like it is applying the static Evanmotional approach to sharing the Christian faith.

    Evangelism has in the past 20+ years has relied so much on Evanmotionalism, that it has become right-wing politicized.

    The CHURCH will take anybody who believes.  But if trying to "grow" a church, some thinking people will be extremely helpful.

    To attract thinking people, try an Evanlogical approach (defined else where in this forum).

    #Rebrand...as a way to capture the attention of a society increasingly ignoring "church."

    Move from defining youyr doctirnal distinctives/affiliations to championing a life transforming experience.

    Shift from static to dynamic.

    And our name is ...

    That's right after being in Phoenix for about a year, our church plant finally has a name.  Why did it take so long you may wonder?  Well, we all felt that the name of our church was a pretty big deal and we were determined to let the Lord lead us to the name in His timing ... not ours.  

    And I can thankfully say that He has done just that.  Alright drum roll please .... and our name is ... FUSE Church!  We love this name for it's multiple meanings ... hear are just a few (thanks to Dictionary.com): 

    1. A fuse is "a tube, cord, or the like, filled or saturated with combustible matter, for igniting an explosive." WE WANT TO IGNITE REVIVAL!
    2. A fuse is "a protective device, used in an electric circuit." WE WANT TO BE A SAFE PLACE FOR PEOPLE TO EXPERIENCE COMMUNITY!
    3. The verb of fuse is "to unite or blend into a whole, as if by melting together." WE WANT TO BE A UNIFYING FORCE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST!
