Not unto us O LORD!

“I keep working toward that day when I will finally be allthat CHRIST JESUS saved me for and wants me to be.”Phil 3:12bIt is said that the primary purpose of the existence of man is to glorify GOD and enjoy Him forever. To validate this view, we have to go back to the beginning, when GOD formed man out of the ground. ADONAI ELOHIM said, “Let us make man in our image and in our likeness…” (Gen 1:26). Adam shone with the glory of GOD, bearing His character and power, able to rule over all the animals on land, over the birds of the air and over the fish in the sea. Adam administered with the wisdom and skill of GOD. Adam spoke the word of GOD and all the creatures obeyed him. In essence, Adam was given by ADONAI ELOHIM surrogate power as bestower when He brought all the animals to Adam to name. In the Hebraic mind, to name is to “put” character, or in the case of every animal, its characteristics. Thus, the Scriptures say, “Whatever Adam would call each living creature, that was to be its name” (Gen 2:19b).Adam was a picture of GOD’s original image of man – the crowning glory of all His beautiful creation. Adam kept and maintained order in Eden. Adam was a gardener and he succumbed to his carnal desire with a fruit that appealed to his senses. Adam knew better than to believe the words of a stranger in Paradise; a serpent, he did not name. Adam sinned because he believed the word of the enemy rather than the word of GOD!The last Adam, YESHUA, glorified the FATHER by being obedient even to the point of death. YESHUA spoke ADONAI’s word and fulfilled them in his daily walk. YESHUA was a carpenter, a builder; using His hands, He made useful things and He healed the sick with His touch and raised the dead with His word. He commanded the storm winds to be still and the waves to calm down and they all obeyed Him. YESHUA was all that Adam could have been, had he believed and spoke the word of ADONAI.YESHUA the Messiah defeated the serpent in the garden when He said, “Not My will, FATHER, but Yours be done!” (Lk 22:42b) On the night He was betrayed, YESHUA prayed, “I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are – I in them and you in me, all being perfected into one” (Jn 17:22,23). To be one with YESHUA is to trust and speak the FATHER’s word and do them. In this way, we fulfill the will of the FATHER as it is fulfilled in heaven. The journey is long and arduous. The process of transformation is from day to day by the HOLY SPIRIT who energizes us with the same power that resurrected the LORD YESHUA from the grave, until we attain the image of GOD in CHRIST.How do we achieve the glory of GOD? Paul said, “Be imitators of CHRIST!” The goal is to walk the Way of Truth in union with YESHUA. For when we walk with YESHUA, we walk with the FATHER and we proclaim that we are truly citizens of heaven and not of earth. When you look in the mirror, who do you want to see?מלאך
